INDUSTRY CHALLENGES
Cutting emissions from shipping, aviation and heavy industry depends on cost-effective, large-scale production of renewable fuels. The biggest hurdle: securing affordable green hydrogen, often only viable near large renewable energy parks in remote areas.
In addition to green hydrogen, renewable fuels require an abundant, reliable supply of circular CO₂ to meet sustainability standards. This CO₂ must come from biogenic sources or directly from the air.
Biogenic CO₂ depends on third-party producers like pulp and paper mills or bioethanol distilleries, introducing risks tied to their operations, transport logistics and the finite availability of biomass.

Skytree’s Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology has been selected by Germany’s Forschungszentrum Jülich for a pioneering Power-to-X research project.
